A Ski Trip To Purgatory
We have season passes this year to Purgatory Mountain. The mountain offers FREE ski passes for the kids and ‘affordable’ adult passes. We knew we wanted to spend some time in a ski town this winter, as part of our travel year. We aren’t officially on the road yet so a ski trip to Purgatory is our last ‘mini-trip’ before we leave Denver for the year.
So far, the resort is everything we love. This week there are tiny crowd levels, incredible terrain, stunning views, kid-friendly slopes, and really nice people.
Kiddo Ski Update
The bunny slope is the right size for Ty. Last year he got on skis and loved it but couldn’t stop. On the first day of this trip, he was starting to slow down by working on his ‘pizza’ legs. Nixon so far has shown the most improvement over last year. I am so proud of his good listening skills and incredible attitude. Reese is still crushing the hill and being really patient as we work with the boys.
Dreamy Ski Days
The days are each so dreamy. We start with school/work in the morning then walk to the slopes for some skiing. We break for lunch, ski some more, and then hit the pool/hot tub before dinner. The kid’s excitement about this sport is contagious. They are having such a fun experience here. More to come soon on this sweet little resort and our time here…
